After tasting a seven-wicket defeat to India in the rain interrupted first ODI, hosts Bangladesh will face India today (Tuesday) at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur. The day/night affair starts at 1.00 pm BST (Bangladesh Standard Time).
Before today’s encounter, Bangladesh faced India in 26 ODI matches. Of them, India posted 23 wins while Bangladesh won three matches.
If India win today’s match, India will clinch the three-match ODI series remaining with one game.
On the other hand, Bangladesh have to win today’s match if they want to keep their hope alive.
Dhaka has experienced sweltering heat over the last few days, interrupted by spells of heavy rain such as the one that shortened the first ODI. The forecast for Tuesday is no different, with expected maximum temperatures in the high 30s and periodic downpours predicted.
