Sports Reporter :
After earning a thumping 79-run win against India in the first ODI at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on June 18, highly spirited Bangladesh will face India in the second ODI today at the same venue. GTV will telecast the match live from the arena.
If Bangladesh win the today’s match, Bangladesh would clinch the series. On the other hand, if India win it will level the series and keep their hope for victory alive.
The day/night affair starts at 3.00 pm.
Members of Bangladesh Cricket team and members of India Cricket team took part in their respective practice sessions at Mirpur on Saturday.
Head Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Chandrika Hathurusingha said, “That’s the scary part: we still can improve in all departments.”
He said, “We are playing positive cricket. We are playing attacking cricket in every department. If we can play according to our plan, we shall perform really good in the next game.”
Rohit Sharma said, “We have learnt our lessons in the first game. We have to be at our best to beat Bangladesh. They have nothing to lose, but India have everything to lose.
It will be a different game. We didn’t bat well. That’s the bottom line for us. Need to be more aware [of match situation]. Main aim is to build big partnerships.”
“Unfortunately things didn’t go down well in the last game but hope to bounce back tomorrow [Sunday]. We have to be a little more aggressive,” he added.
He said,” We have to be at our best. We just need to exploit Bangladesh’s weaknesses and focus on getting early wickets tomorrow [Sunday].”
