Indira Road Krira Chakra clinched the Dhaka Metropolis First Division T20 Cricket title beating Rapid Foundation by 19 runs in the final at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Sunday.
Sent in to bat first in the day’s final match, Indira Road KC scored 131 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs.
Rubel Alom Rana contributed team highest 53 runs off 19 balls with three fours and six sixes, and was adjudged the man of the match.
Sazzad-Ul-Haq scored 32 runs off 42 balls with two fours while Mominul Islam made 16 runs.
Abu Bakr Siddique and Niranjan Bhadra grabbed two wickets each for 12 and 23 runs respectively while Imran Ali Enam took one wicket for 31 runs.
Chasing 132 for win, Rapid Foundation were restricted to 112 runs for 9 wickets in quota 20 overs.
Prosanta Das Bijoy scored the team highest, run a ball 28 with two fours and a six while skipper Tarik Ahmed and Mostafa Al Maruf scored 22 runs each.
Salahuddin Shakil, Mehedi Mohin and Sazzad-Ul-Haq took two wickets each for 12, 13 and 19 runs respectively.
