Indian youth injured by BSF firing

The Indian Border Security Force (BSF) members on patrol fired and injured an Indian youth at Phulbari border in Kurigram district on Sunday night. The Youth was entering into Bangladesh illegally to come to his grandfather’s house. He was injured by BSF firing in Indian territory.
The injured is identified as Milon Miah (20) son of Jogu Alam of village Saidalerkuti, post Choudhuryhat under Coochbehar district of West Bengal province in India. Commanding Officer of Kurigram 22 BGB Battalion Lt. Co. Jamal Hossain told that Nageswari thana police recovered and admitted him to Kurigram General Hospital for treatment.
However the incident took place in Lalmonirhat 15 BGB Battalion area. In a press release Lalmonirhar 15-BGB said that a sound of gun shot heard 70 yards inside in India from border and local people informed the matter to Anantapur BOP commander. BGB in patrol following the news rushed to the border and came to know that BSF members of Jhekri camp of 192 Battalion fired.
