An eight-member scientific team led by Prof Parul Chakrabarti, Director of Bose Institute of Kolkata called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor (VC) Prof AAMS Arefin Siddique recently at the latter’s office of the university.
Other team members were Prof Partha Majumder, Prof Bikas K Chakrabarti, Prof Amita Majumder, Dr Indrani Bose, Geeta Talukder and Kaberi Chakrabarti. Director of DU Bose Centre for Advanced Study and Research in Natural Sciences Prof Shamima Choudhury and Coordinator of JC Bose Trust Bangladesh Dr Ferdousi Begum were present on the occasion.
During the meeting, they discussed the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programmes regarding scientific works of renowned scientists SN Bose and JC Bose between Dhaka University and higher educational institutions in India.
