Indian High Commissioner in Dhaka Harsh Vardhan Shringla joined the Maha prasad (halwa) distribution programme on Wednesday on the Dhakeshwari National Temple premises on the third consecutive day of the Durga Puja to mark the Maha Ashtami.
Marking the festival, Bihit Puja was celebrated and Prasad distributed among the disciples of goddess Durga, said a press release here.
Besides, Bangladesh Puja Udjapan Parishad and Mahanagar Sarbojanin Puja Committee also distributed food among the inmates of Central Jail in the city, the release added.
