A six-member delegation led by Prof. Dr. Annada Charan Bhagabati, former Vice-Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi University, Arunachal Pradesh, India called on Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. AAMS Arefin Siddique on November 26 at the latter’s office of the university. Other team members were Mrs. Purnima Bhagabati, wife of Dr. Annada Charan Bhagabati, Dr. Alaka Sarma, Dean of the School of Business Studies of University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya, Dr Abu Naser Saied Ahmed, former Professor of the same university, Canchi Srikant, a renowned Businessman and Minaxi Rushi, a Lawyer.
During the meeting they discussed regarding the possibilities of undertaking joint collaborative academic and research programs by the University of Dhaka and University of Science & Technology, Meghalaya, India.
They stressed the need for exchange of teachers, researchers and students between the two universities. They agreed to sign a MoU in this regard soon.
