Indian delegation arrives to create awareness on plastic , polythene

A three-members of Indian delegation has arrived in Bangladesh through Benapole check post for 17-days tour with bicycle procession from India to make people awareness to avoid plastic and polythene, save environment’ slogan.
On Monday morning, the delegation reached to Benapole check post from India. At the time, activists of various social organizations received the members.
The three-member rally is – Partha Mukherjee, Suprotim Majumdar and Manos Ghosh.
Leader Partha Mukherjee said, “We have become very dependent on plastic and polythene. Which naturally damage in the hundreds of years, and are having serious impact on the environment.
‘This adverse effect of nature and environment will face the danger of human civilization in the coming days. From now on, plastics and polythene must be eliminated to create a healthy environment. “He arranged this by cycle rally to make people of two countries aware about this matter, he said.
This 17-day cycle procession will travel from Hawrah of India’s North 24 Parganas and travel 752 kilometers from Dhaka to Cox’s Bazar. At the time, public will make awareness about the activities to protect the environment.
President of Benapole Citizen Committee Master Shahidullah said that such public awareness will strengthen friendship between people of both countries, as well as make people aware of the environment.
