Staff Reporter :Indian Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag is scheduled to arrive in Dhaka today on a two-day visit at the invitation of Bangladesh’s Army Chief.A special flight of Indian Military carrying General Singh will land at BAF Base Kurmitola in Dhaka around 5:00pm.He will meet Bangladesh Army Chief General Iqbal Karim Bhuiyan at Army Headquarters at about 5:20PM, said a press release issued by Inter- Service Public Relations on Sunday. The Indian Army Chief’s visit is aiming to strengthening friendship and bilateral cooperation. During his visit, General Singh will review the passing-out parade of the Bangladesh Military Academy at Chittagong, and have other meetings, according to Indian High Commission in Dhaka.General Dalbir Singh’s visit is part of high-level exchanges between the Armed Forces of India and Bangladesh which are aimed at strengthening friendship and cooperation between them.General Singh, born on 28 December 1954, assumed office on 31 July 2014 following the retirement of General Bikram Singh. He was previously serving as Vice Chief of Army Staff before taking charge as Chief of the Army Staff of India.
