Custom intelligence officials seized 2 kg gold and arrested a man in this connection at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Thursday morning.
The arrestee was identified as Ranjit, a resident of Nawabganj of Dhaka district.
Sources at Customs Intelligence of the airport said, Ranjit arrived here from Kualalumpur of Malaysia by a MH 102 flight that landed at the airport at around 11.40 am.
Tipped off, custom officials challenged Ranjit while he was crossing the transit lounge and recovered the gold worth Tk 1 core searching his body.
