UNB, Dhaka :
Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Harsh Vardhan Shringla on Monday said his country will introduce several initiatives to further ease visa process and reduce pressure on visa system as the demand for Indian visa is on the rise.
“But exactly what nature they are, I cannot disclose now because we have not reached the conclusion of those efforts,” he told to reporters at the New Chancery Complex in the
city’s Baridhara area. Considering “overwhelming” response from the ongoing special Eid visa camp, high commissioner Shringla said this is not the last and they will have another visa camp in a few months time.
He said around 10,000 visa seekers came to submit their visa applications from different parts of the country on Monday. The visa camp that started on June 4, will continue till June 16 and at least 50-60 thousand visa seekers will be given Indian visas through the ongoing visa camp.
