India set to win against Pakistan in their Group B match of the ICC World Twenty20 Cricket when they scored 73 for the loss of three wickets in 11.4 overs in reply to Pakistan’s total of 130 for the loss of seven wickets in the allotted 20 overs.
Shikhar Dhawan and Rohit Sharma, the two openers of India put on 54 runs in the opening stand.
Dhawan made 30 from 28 balls with five fours while Rohit Sharma scored 24 off 21 balls.
Indian bowlers restricted Pakistan to a modest total by their tight bowling attack.
Pakistan faced a debacle losing three wickets for 47 runs.
Later, Umar Akmal and Shoaib Malik repaired the damage adding together 97 runs in the four-wicket partnership before Shoaib Malik was caught at the long-off by Suresh Raina off Amit Mishra when Pakistan’s score was 97 for the loss four wickets.
