India knock Bangladesh out of U-19 WC

India knocked down the defending champions Bangladesh by five wickets in the ICC U-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup (WC) 2022 semi-final at the Coolidge Cricket Ground in Antigua and Barbuda.
India chased down the modest target of 112 runs for the loss of five wickets. Opener, Harnoon Singh returned for a duck in the second over. Then, Angkrish Raghuvanshi and Shaik Rasheed steadied India’s ship and then put their team into command by stitching a 50-run stand for the second wicket.
The stand eventually ended on 70 as Ripon Mondol dismissed Raghuvanshi on 44. On his next delivery, he sent the other well-set batter in Rasheed (26). Mondol then got two more wickets of Siddarth Yadav on 6 and Raj Bawa for a duck.
Eventually, Dhull remained unbeaten on 20 to take India over the line in 30.5 overs. India U19 were set a target of 112 in 50 overs.
Ravi Kumar finished with figures of three for 14 from seven overs, as he dismissed the top three Bangladesh batters to leave the defending champions on 14 for three.
Bangladesh struggled to took charge in the match and reduced to 56 for seven, before Meherob Hasan came in and hit six boundaries in a crucial 30.
However, just two other Bangladesh batters reached double figures and they were eventually all out for 111.
