The Walton Independence Day Volleyball Tournament begins today at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium. Bangladesh Volleyball Federation has arranged the volleyball competition while Walton Group is the sponsor of the meet.
To mark the ensuing volleyball tournament, a press conference was at the conference room of the National Sports Council Tower on Tuesday. Senior Additional Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, AGM of Walton Group Mehrab Hossain Asif, Vice-President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Tabiur Rahman Palowan, Joint-Secretary of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation Advocate Fazle Rabbi Babul and Joint-Secretary of BVF Azizur Rahman were present at the conference, among others.
A total of 11 teams are taking part in the volleyball tournament. They are: Bangladesh Army, Bangladesh Navy, Bangladesh Air Force, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Jail team, Bangladesh Fire Service & Civil Defence, Bangladesh Power Development Board, Bangladesh Ansar & VDP, Titas Club and BKSP.
