The two-day 10th Toyota Independence Day Cup Golf Tournament was inaugurated at Army Golf Club in the city on Friday. Bangladesh army chief and chief patron of Army Golf Club, General Aziz Ahmed formally inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Army Golf Club president and logistic area commander Major General SM Shafiuddin Ahmed, Navana Group senior vice chairman Saiful Islam and tournament committee’s chairman Brigadier General Shah-Noor-Jilani, were among others, present at the inauguration ceremony. The tournament will be held in five categories with the participation of 700 golfers including some foreign golfers as well.
