UNB, Dhaka :The weeklong income tax fair in seven divisional cities and 23 other district towns ends on Monday. On the sixth day of the fair, 94,840 taxpayers received services across the country, while 2046 got registered as fresh taxpayers and 1456 reregistered their e-TIN on Sunday, said a PID handout.A total of 24,031 taxpayers submitted income tax returns paying Tk 218.48 crore in income tax on the day.With Sunday’s figures, the fair provided services to 5,44,633 taxpayers in its first six days, while 12841 were registered as fresh taxpayers, 9198 reregistered e-TIN and 1,14,770 taxpayers submitted income tax returns, raising the total amount of the collection to Tk 1315.47 crore.The concluding function of the fair will be held at the Officers Club Dhaka at 7pm. State Minister for Financer and Planning MA Mannan will be present as the chief guest at the function to be chaired by Internal Resources Division Secretary and Chairman of National Board of Revenue Golam Hossain.
