Incentive for 17600 farmers in Jamalpur continues

Agriculture department has started distribution of incentive among the farmers in the district for increasing production in the current Robi season.
According to Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) office sources seeds of seven varieties crops and fertilizer are being distributed among 17600 small and marginal farmers.
The seven crops are Boro paddy, wheat, maize, mustard, ground nut, Mug pulse and onion.
DAE sources said a farmer will get incentive for cultivation of one among seven crops on one Bigha of land.
Under the programme, 4400 farmers will get incentive for Boro paddy cultivation.
Besides, 1000 farmers for wheat, 6500 farmers for maize, 5000 farmers for mustard, 200 farmers for ground nut, 100 farmers for Mug pulse and 400 farmers for onion.
A total of 10390 out of 17600 farmers have already received the incentive.
