With a hope to conquer the universe today at 4:00 pm Rangpur Astronomical Club has been inaugurated. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by The Chairman of the Club, Prof. Dr. R. M. Hafizur Rahman (Head Department of Mathematics, BRUR).

Abdul Hannan (Vice Principal, Sundargonj Degree Mohila College Gaibandha); Founder Member. Umme Mahbuba Khatun (VP, Siddique Memorial School & College, Rangpur); Founder Member. Dr. S M A Matin, (Gangachara Govt. College, Rangpur) were presented in the opening ceremony. Bangladesh has very limited opportunity in astronomical research. With a view to create the opportunity in Astronomical Research, Rangpur Astronomical Club has started its journey.
It is a historical step for this generation to widen the scope of astronomy in Rangpur. This club will help people to gather knowledge on the universe. It is a hope that our dream will come true and one day we will discover the mystery of the universe.
