With the leadership of education department of Rangpur division, Plan International Bangladesh organized an opening ceremony yesterday of Quality Education Network in its Rangpur Divisional Office. Md. Abdul Wahab, Deputy Director, Primary Education of Rangpur Division was present as chief guest while Md. Abdul Quddus, Divisional Manager of Plan International Bangladesh presided the event. Objective of the network is to create a platform with the participation of government and non-government organization to ensure quality education for all children in Rangpur division, where all member organizations will share their best practices, learnings and work in a coordinated manner. The day was started with welcome speech. At the beginning of the session, Dr. Hrishikesh Sarker, Programme Manager of plan International Bangladesh, present a report on primary education. “Thanked Plan International Bangladesh and other member of organizations to take this initiative in Rangpur division. I hoped this network will support the government to achieve the goal and develop an educated nation,” said chief guest. He also continuing by saying learners will not come to us to get education rather we have to go to learners to get them educated. For this, nongovernment organization would to come forward and work in a coordinated manner.
Having discussion session, participants decided to perform listed activities to ensure quality education with the leadership of Deputy Director Primary Education.
Divisional Education Officer of Rangpur and representative from 10 International and national organization including UNICEF, Save the Children, Handicraft International, Dhaka Ahsania Mission were participated the event.
