Legendary band musician Ayub Bachchu died on October 18 in 2018. Today (August 16) is the birth anniversary of this legend band singer. To pay tribute to him, Channel 24 organises a special programme, Colors 24 where two promising singers – Imtiaz Ahmed Khan and Zareen Subha Diya performed. Recording of the programme was done on August 13. In the programme, Imtiaz rendered Ayub Bachchu’s song Sei tumi keno eto achena hole and Diya rendered the song Tara bhora raate. Therefore, they duet rendered two songs Haste dekho gaite dekho and Sukheri prithibi sukheri obhinoy. While talking about performing songs in the show Imtiaz, son of Ustad Yakub Ali Khan, said, “Ayub Bachchu Sir was most respectable person to me. He was the icon of the guitar players.
It is really difficult to render his song while playing guitar. I tried my level best. If I do any wrong I request all including fans of Bachchu to forgive me.” Diya shared her feelings by this way, “Respected Kumar Bishwajit Sir connected with us during the show.
We heard many things from him about Bachchu Sir’s songs. It was a great achievement for me to take part in
the programme. During childhood I have been trying to render Bachchu Sir’s songs. When I gets request to render song I always like to render Ayub Bachchu Sir’s songs.”
