Improving education standard in schools stressed

Speakers at a function yesterday stressed the need for improving the standard of education to make the students worthy citizens of the country and to build an enlightened nation.
“In this context, the teachers and the members of school managing committee including the officials concerned in their cordial and coordinated efforts can play vital roles to attain the cherished goal”, they said.
They made the comments while addressing a discussion meeting on education fair, students’ reunion and meritorious students’ reception organised by Secondary Education Quality and Access Enhancement Project (SEQAEP) of Secondary and Higher Education Directorate on the premises of Azahar Ali High School at Bonarpara under Shaghata upazila.
Project Director (PD) M Shahid Bakhtiar Alam addressed the function as the chief guest while deputy commissioner M Ehsan-e-Elahi was in the chair.
The function was also addressed, among others, by consultant of the SEQAEP Waliul Islam, deputy team leader of Bishwa Shahitya Kendra Sharif M Masud, upazila chairman AKM Golam Shahid Ranzu, UNO Abdul Awal, district education officer Kutub Uddin, upazila secondary education officer Shah Alam Parvez and resource teacher Ariful Islam.
The chief guest in his speeches urged the teachers to be more serious, dedicated and professional in their teaching so that all the institutions might be turned into knowledge acquiring centers to produce more brilliant students from there.
