A tax evasion case in importing huge airconditioners detected in chittagong recently. A team of Chittagong Customs Intelligence Directorate in a drive at Agrabad areas in city recovered 1100 airconditioner from a godown .
Director general of CID Dr. Moinul Islam told the media that acting on secret information, they conducted raid in Agrabad area and managed to recover 11 hundred airconditioners worth about Tk.10 cr. M/s.Elite Hightech Ltd of comilla imported this airconditioners evading the govt duty, customs sources said.
