Import-export halts thru’ Benapole due to Dol Purnima

Import-Export activities between Bangladesh and India has suspended through Benapole land port on Sunday on the occasion of Dol Purnima celebrating in India. But the loading, unloading and goods delivery is normal in the Benapole Port.
Besides, traveling of passport passengers is normal through Benapole International check post. Karthik Chakraborty, General Secretary of the Petrapole C&F Staff Welfare Association of India, said, Dol Purnima is a Baisnob festival. This spring festival is known as ‘Holi’. The Holi festival is celebrated as the destruction of evil spirits.
The C&F owner, who is involved in import-export activities Employees, handling workers, truck drivers have returned to their respective areas due to the Holi festival. As a result, all work has come to a standstill since Saturday afternoon. Due to this, Import-Export activities between the two countries has suspended on Sunday.

Imports and exports in India has suspended on Sunday for the Holi holiday. Indian customs authorities have already informed us.
Import-Export has been suspended but activities of Benapole Customs House and Port has continued. There is no obstacle for the empty Indian trucks to return their country. Import-export trade will resume from Monday morning.
Meanwhile, Benapole Checkpost Immigration Officer-in-Charge (OC) Ahsan Habib said the traveling of passport passengers between the two countries is normal.
