Padua forest department has seized a jeep with illegal timber in Lohagara. The timber was seized in a raid on Monday at night. Padua Forest Range Officer Md. Saiful Islam led the operation.
It is learned that on the basis of secret information, a team of Forest Department led by Padua Forest Range Officer Md. Saiful Islam raided the Hasinavita area of Putibila in the upazila at 11.30 pm on Monday and seized a jeep loaded with illegal gammari and teak wood. Padua Forest Range Officer Md. Saiful Islam said, a forest case has been filed in this regard. The seized timber & the vehicle are in the custody of Padua Forest Department.
