Thousands of illegal structures have been demolished in Saidpur by the Roads and Highway Department (RHD) in Nilphamari following the order of the High Court Division of Supreme Court recently .
The structures not only beside the highroads but also within the town have been demolished in order to vacate their lands.
For the safe and secured journey and also to avoid accidents High Court has issued the order for this demolition.
The drive has been started on 21st November . In three days 101 big and small constructions have been demolished which has changed the total picture of Saidpur.
Saidpur is a thickly populated commercial town and due this drive many shops and business palaces has been demolished. The drive was led by the Executive Magistrate of Nilphamari DC Office Sujon Sarker. UNO of Saidpur Abu Saleh Md. Musa Jongi along with RHD officials.
