Inspector General of Police (IGP) A K M Shahidul Hoque on Tuesday left here for US to take part in United Nations Chief of Police Summit (UNCOPS) conference.
The two-day conference is scheduled to start at UN headquarters in New York today, where police chief from 105 nations are expected to take part. Hoque will address the main session of the conference as the representatives of all the participating police chiefs. He will also give interview regarding the role played by women police in peace keeping missions in different countries.
The Bangladesh IGP is scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Herve Ladsous, Undersecretary General of UN Peacekeeping Operations.
