National Film Award winner Dhalywood’s popular actress Sadika Parvin Popy has kept hidden herself from media for last two years. Somebody said she got married and also gave birth to a baby. But there is no evidence in this regard till date. However, anybody cannot give the answer why is the actress keeping hidden from all. In fact, Popy is not seen in any film related any event or
homely function of any artiste.
Is she huffs or grows anger with someone, so that she has kept hidden from all – there is no specific idea in this regard. For this reason, is Popy would return to acting in the silver screen – it is not clear at all. Due to Poppy’s sudden hidden made the works of her some movies uncertain. Directors are now in uncertainty to continue shooting of these movies.
Director Sadeque Siddiqui told this correspondent that Popy has completed shooting of his directorial movie titled ‘Direct Action.’ But when the movie will get release yet not confirmed. During the release of the movie if lead heroine is to be present at its promotion, viewers can get interest to watch this in the theatres. From that point of view, if the release date of ‘Direct Action’ is fixed and Popy remains hidden, then the film will face lose in the sense of commercial aspect.
Meanwhile, during the election of Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association, Popy gave a video message on Facebook. Besides this, she did not disclose anything about her personal life. In fact, what was happened that Popy kept herself hidden from everyone. Nobody can give assurance that the actress would come back to acting again.
Some senior artistes of the film industry cannot take hidden activity of Popy positively. According to them, Popy is a popular heroine of the country. She got the National Film Award for several times. If the actress keeps herself hidden from all, then it is responsibility for the state to find out the real reason behind this and also to ensure her security. It is also responsibility for the Bangladesh Film Artistes’ Association because the Film Artistes’ Association should work for the welfare of the artistes. So, the Film Artistes’ Association should give the right information about Popy’s present condition. An artiste is the asset of a country. It is really alarming to hide herself from all.
Meanwhile, today (September 10) is the birthday of Popy. She always celebrated her birthday along with family. But now it is not clear how she will pass the day. If she returns on her birthday, then many things will be cleared to all. The day can be celebrated. However, everybody wishes Popy remains well and stays safe where she is staying now.
