Sports Reporter :
All-rounder of England Cricket team Moeen Ali said, ” If anybody adapts in Bangladesh, he will play well in anywhere of the world.”
Moeen Ali arrived in Dhaka recently to play in the matches of the Bangabandhu Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket for Comilla Victorians. Moeen Ali is now staying in Sylhet to take part in the BPL Cricket.
The wickets of Bangladesh are traditionally helpful for spin bowlers. Usually the spinners get advantage than the pacers. As the wickets don’t act for speed or bounce, the pacers don’t get advantage in Bangladesh. So, the bowlers, who come from the outside of the Indian Sub-Continent, they have to work hard to become accustomed with the condition of Bangladesh.
Moeen Ali is not an exception of that. He thinks to play Bangladesh is a tough task.
Moeen Ali said, ” The competitive cricket matches are held here. To play here is different than any other venue. There are lot of good spinners here. The foreign spinners are also up to the mark. It is a hard thing to play here. Specially the batters face tough task.”
He said, ” If anybody performs well here, he will show satisfactory display in everywhere of the world. This is the main cause for me to come here and play here. I want to adapt in the tough situation and play good cricket day by day. I want to adapt with the conditions of here which will be helpful for me when I come here to play for England. I am very glad to come here.”
Earlier, Moeen Ali came here in 2013 to play in BPL Cricket for Duronto Rajshahi. In that time he was a promising all-rounder.
Later, He took part in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL). He played with Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim Iqbal.
Moeen Ali said, ” I played in the outgoing DPL for Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club. I have gained a good experience. It was little bit a tough task for me. I enjoyed very much to play in the DPL. I have learnt lot of things, which helped me to play in the international cricket.”
