The leaders of Ideal School and College Ovibhabok Forum have urged the Anti-Corruption Commission to investigate wealth information of the institution’s principal, chairman and members of the college’s governing body and teachers with a view to curbing corruption.
The call came at a meeting of the organization held at a restaurant in the capital recently.
They also blamed the college principal for preparing a partial list of the teachers doing coaching business.
“About 300 teachers of the Ideal School and College are doing coaching business. They are not giving attention to the students. They also inspired the students to go to coaching centers. The principals provided a list comprising 128 teachers,” forum leaders said.
Chairman of forum freedom fighter Md Ziaul Kabir Dulu presided over the meeting while Founding General Secretary Md Selim Uddin, Acting General Secretary Md Rustom Ali, Forum leaders Engineer Fahim Uddin, Fazlul Hoque, Sowkatul Alam, Shyamoli Shimu, Rafiqul Islam, Shirin Sultana and Dilara Chowdhury spoke at the meeting, among others.
Ziaul Kabir Dulu said the guardians are happy over the ACC’s initiative to collect the information about the educational institutions’ teachers. “I welcome the ACC bosses for taking such measurers,” he said.
“The ACC sought information merely on teachers. But I am requesting the ACC for seeking wealth information about the principal, chairman and members of governing body and teachers of all institutions, especially the Ideal School and College.
