ICT Expo 2017 draws huge crowd on second day

The three-day Bangladesh ICT Expo-2017 on Thursday witnessed huge crowd on the second day of the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC) in the city.
People from all walks of life, mostly the youth, thronged the BICC premises to gather knowledge on digital technologies and innovations, said a press release here. There are about 132 pavilions and stalls in the fair encompassing around 7,000 square meters of area where different new technological product, services, lifestyle and ideas are on the display, the release added.
Visitors were seen flocking around the pavilions and stalls and gathering ideas on computers, laptops, hardware and other technological devices.
On the second day of the expo, the global online payment system, PayPal, was launched on Thursday. Prime Minister’s Information and Communication Technology Affairs Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy launched the service at the Hall of Fame of the BICC.
However, different technological products, including computers and mobile phones, with latest versions are being sold out in the expo on discounted prices with gifts. The students, showing their ID cards, will get up to Taka 1,000 discount along with different gifts.
