ICT-2 for publishing advertisement asking 6 accused to surrender

The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 passed an order on Wednesday asking the authority concerned to publish advertisement in newspapers asking six fugitive accused from Jamalpur to surrender before the court.
The six accused are – Md Ashraf Hossain, 64, Prof Sharif Ahmed, 71, Md Abdul Mannan, 66, Md Abdul Bari, 62, Md Harun, 58 and Md Abul Hashem, 65.
The second tribunal on March 2 issued arrest warrants against eight alleged Al-Badr men from Jamalpur including those six. Police on that very day, arrested their accomplices Advocate Shamsul Haque, 70, and SM Eusuf Ali, 83.
Justice Obaidul Hassan, chairman of the three-member panel of the ICT-2, passed the order asking the ICT registrar to publish advertisement in Bengali and English dailies. The accused have been asked to surrender before the court within seven days from the date of publishing the advertisement.
According to the investigation agency, all the eight are local leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami and the six fugitives had carried out gruesome crimes as al-Badr men with Ashraf as their leader.
