ICC rejects BNP, Jamaat’s allegation against BD Govt

UNB, Dhaka :The International Criminal Court (ICC) has rejected a ‘false and baseless’ allegations, raised by the BNP-Jamaat, accusing the government of “mass killing and crimes against humanity” since 2013.Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali conveyed the development on Wednesday mentioningthat the ICC Prosecutor Fatou Bensouda informed it to Bangladesh government a couple of days back.”These allegations (brought by BNP-Jamaat) have no legal basis,” Minister Ali told reporters at a press conference at the Foreign Ministry quoting the content of the letter sent by Bensouda from The Hague, the Netherlands. He said this has proved again that BNP-Jamaat and their associates remain involved in heinous falsehood against independent Bangladesh and Bangalee nation, especially anti-liberation party Jamaat is carrying out such ill-attempt to cover up their mass killings, rapes, arson attacks and crimes against humanity during 1971.
