A meeting of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited was held at the Islami Bank Tower on Wednesday.
Sheikh Moulana Mohammad Kutubuddin, Chairman of the committee and president of Baitush Sharaf Anjuman-E-Ittehad Bangladesh, presided over the meeting.
Chairman (Acting) Engineer Mustafa Anwar, Chairman of Executive Committee Engineer Md Eskander Ali Khan and Managing Director of the bank Abdul Mannan were present in the meeting.
Mufti Sayeed Ahmad, Vice-Chairman of the Committee and Mufti of Al Jamiatus Siddikiah Darul Ulum (Madrasha-e-Furfura Sharif); Abdur Raquib, Former Executive President of the Bank; Mufti Shamsuddin Zia, Mufti and Muhaddis of Al-Zamiatul Islamia, Chittagong; Moulana Abdus Shaheed Naseem, President of Bangladesh Quran Shikkha Society; and Dr Hasan Mohammad Moinuddin, Associate Professor of International Islamic University Chittagong were also present.
The meeting took various decisions on compliance of Shariah and expressed satisfaction at the overall activities of the bank.
