Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) has donated Tk 2 crore to the Prime Minister’s relief fund for distributing winter clothes among the destitute, says a press release.
IBBL Chairman Engineer Mustafa Anwar handed over a cheque for the amount to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban on Wednesday, said a press release on Thursday.
Chairman of Bangladesh Association of Banks Nazrul Islam Majumdar and Chairman of the Executive Committee of the bank Engineer Md Eskander Ali Khan were present on the occasion.
IBBL has allocated 2.40 lakh warm clothes at a cost of Tk 70.5 million for the destitute in the current year that are being distributed through its head office and branches.
