The newly joined Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj Mustain Billah said the district administration would do its best to ensure hassle-free service for all and to implement all development programmes of the government.
He also said that he will work toward becoming a DC of the people, ‘not a ruler’. As a member of the common people of Narayanganj, I will make every effort to take this district forward.”
“I am newly appointed. I have clear direction from the government that we remain transparent while providing services to our people.
If lack of transparency is reported to me, I will definitely take actions and work to implement the government’s mandate,” added Mustain Billah.
He said these while speaking at a view exchange meeting with the officials of Bandar Upazila administration held in the upazila auditorium of Narayanganj district on Monday.
Mostain Billah took charge as a new Deputy Commissioner for Narayanganj district on January 4.
“I heard about your problems. You need a bridge at Nabiganj Ferry Ghat in an emergency basis, you need Madanpur bypass road and proper waste management in the city,” said the DC, adding, “We will try our best to solve all the problems of the district under an action plan.”
Bandar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shukla Sarkar delivered a welcome speech at the beginning of the meeting, presided over by Bandar Upazila Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Alhaj MA Rashid.
Bandar Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Asma Sultana Nasrin, Bandar Thana Officer-in-Charge Deepak Chandra Saha, Upazila Mahila Vice Chairman Salima Hossain Shanta, Bandar Press Club President Mubarak Hossain Khan Kamal, Kalagachia Union Parishad Chairman Alhaj Delwar Hossain Pradhan, Chairman of Bandar Union Parishad Ehsan Uddin, Madanpur UP Chairman Alhaj MA Salam, Musapur UP Chairman Maksud, leaders of Bandar Press Club, headmasters of different schools and imams of different mosques and officials of various departments of the Upazila Parishad were present.
The programme was conducted by Bandar Upazila Rural Development Officer Abu Jafar.
