I didn’t seek votes from the councilors: Nazmul Hassan

Nazmul Hassan Papon has been re-elected President of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) for four years term. Papon has been elected BCB Chief for fourth times. Earlier, Papon was elected Director on Wednesday after getting the highest 53 votes in the election of BCB.
Papon and other elected Directors entered the at BCB Board Room in the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Thursday afternoon. Later, Papon has been unopposed elected President of BCB by the newly elected Directors.
Papon was nominated President of the BCB in 2012. After one year he was unopposed elected President of BCB.
Later, he was unopposed elected Chief of the BCB in 2017.
After becoming the President of the BCB for the fourth times, the newly elected Directors of the BCB formally received Papon with floral wreaths.
 After the election, Nazmul Hossain Papon said, “To be honest, I didn’t seek votes from the councilors despite being contested in the election for the first time. But
someone else can seek vote for me or can give sms but I don’t seek vote
personally. I want to see my actual situation.”
 “What I understood that the councilors actually want the development of
the cricket and that’s why, they were not biased. Even there are people, whom
I believe don’t like me, they voted me. This made me believe for the sake of cricket, all people came under same umbrella.”
