Chittagong Bureau :
Chairman of city watchdog- Chittagong Development Authority and Treasurer of City Awami League Abdus Salam said, if the party chief desires, he is ready to contest the forthcoming city Mayor election of Chittagong which is eligible for all intending candidates . He also indicated that if the Party chief nominate him, he is ready to contest for Mayorship.
He also said after consent of PM, one will contest for the post and all the leaders irrespective of opinions should work unitedly to overcome the election successfully. This was disclosed to this correspondent while contacted over phone recently after publish his name as aspirant for Mayorship in the local and national dailies recently. The names of another 3 AL leaders came in the limelight for the Mayor election.
