Hygiene kits, cash distributed among Rangpur flood victims

Some 300 flood- hit families received Tk 9 lakh in cash and hygiene kits at Kaunia in Rangpur organised by RDRS Bangladesh.
Md. Mehedi Hasan, Assistant Commissioner (Land) of Kaunia Upazila was present as the Chief Guest at the two-day distribution programme on Monday and Tuesday. Special guests were Angura Begum, female Vice Chairman of Kaunia Upazila Parishad and Samiul Alam, social worker. Also present were RDRS Bangladesh Senior Coordinator (Agriculture & Environment) Mamunur Rashid, Senior Manager (Communications) Ashafa Selim, Project Manager (Start Fund) Tapan Kumar Saha, Project Coordinator (Recall) Hafizur Rahman and other concerned staff.
RDRS Bangladesh is a donor organization funded by the UK Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and supported by Start Fund Bangladesh, Bishwanath, Hayabatkhan and Tabu Hayabatkhan provided package relief assistance to 300 families in the village.
Package relief includes cash money and a hygiene kit, 10 bath lax / detal soaps, 3 500 gram packets of wheel detergent powder, 1 packet of 15 pieces of Senora sanitary napkin, 1 plastic hand washing device with lid, 1 plastic washing machine, lid. 50 masks and 2 awareness leaflets.
