A husband was strangulated to death at Bagura village under Shailkupa upazila in Jhenidah on Wednesday night.
The victim is Sagar Hossain, 22 son of Siru Mia of Rajapur village under Magura district.
Sources said, Sagar married Urmi Khatun daughter of Foad Ali of Bagura village two years back.
Investigation officer SI Ibrahim Hossain of Shailkupa police station said, on Wednesday night at around 8-30 Sagar came to his law’s house at Bagura village under Shailkupa upazila of the district. He slept with his wife at the house. In midnight the family members of Urmi strangulated Sagar to death.
On information, police reached the spot and recovered the body and sent it to Jhenidah Sadar Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
