A man tied her wife’s hands and legs with rope and shaved her hair after torture at Juri Upazila in the district recently.
This inhuman incident happened in Shuknachara village of Goalbari Union of Juri Upazila in Moulvibazar. The victim filed a GD entry with Juri police station on Tuesday night and Police filed a case on Wednesday
The victim housewife was identified as Rabia Begum, wife of Bodoi Mia in same village. Bodoi Mia works as elephant ‘mahut’. Rabia Begum is the daughter of late Attor Ali of Danapur village of Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar.
According to GD, victim complained that her husband beat him for a long time demanding dowry. She left home for fear of her husband on last Thursday. Later, husband taken her home by the intervention of the local people.
She told this correspondent, on last Saturday night, at 12 o’clock, husband came to house and suddenly tied me and kicked again and again.
After bath he also put paprika into my private parts on my body. Then started kicking and I felled down on the ground. At one stage, he shaped my head all hair with a blade after torture.
On Monday, he ran away from the house while I informed the local UP Chairman, she added.
