A court here sentenced one person to suffer life term imprisonment for killing his wife’s lover at village Mugal-Hata in Atpara upazila under Netrakona district during the year of 2005.
The additional district and session judge Netrakona Mohammad Abdul Hamid pronounced the verdict at his crowded court room here on Monday last.
According to the court sources , the court also fined him taka 20,000, in default, to suffer another two years of rigorous imprisonment. Besides, the court acquitted another three accused of the case as the charges brought against them was not proved in beyond benefit of doubts.
The convicted person was identified as Kamal Fakir of village Mugal-_Hata in Atpara upazila under Netrakona district. Those who acquitted were identified as Babul Fakir, Shahjahan and Shahriar Alam.
