A husband chopped off his wife’s right arm for establishing illegal sexual affair with another person at Shiroil Poschimpara area in the city on Friday noon.
The injured woman is Mim, 22, wife of Julfiqer Ali Juwel.
Officer -in -Charge (Investigation) of Boalia Police Station in this regard said that Julfiqer chopped off his wife’s right hand with a sharp weapon as she was involved in an illegal sexual connection with another person.
Later, Julfiqer surrendered going to the police station and confessed his offence without any interrogation.
A case will be filed with the police station immediately and he would have set to jail through the court order, the OC also said.
The injured woman was taken to Rajshahi Medical College and Hospital.
