A longest human chain of all time has been formed to stop the eviction from Railway land in Saidpur on Saturday.
The human chain of thousands and thousands of people has been formed on Saturday at all over Saidpur, under the banner of “ADHIKAR”, the organisation working and standing against the eviction.
The mass people of Saidpur came out on the road seeking the intervention of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for the allotment and settlement of the Railway land among the residents, including the abolition and eviction of the inhabitants of the Railway.
From 3to 5pm, the symbol strike and human chain activities continued by keeping all shops closed including ordinary people, families living on the railwayland, teachers, students of different educational institutions, leaders of different political and social cultural organizations. Thousands of people at Shaheed Smriti Amlan Chattar, Press Club More, Bangabandhu Chattar (Panchamatha More), Tamanna Road, Bangabandhu Road, Medina Road and Airport Road demanded with different banners for the allotment and settlement of the unused Railway land among the people of Saidpur standing at the two sides of the streets.
