Chittagong Bureau :
The Higher Secondary Certificate and equivalent examinations began in greater Chittagong as elsewhere in the country yesterday.
The examination is being held in 92 centres in the greater Chittagong.
Chittagong Education board sources said the examination is being in 59 centres in Ctg district, 13 centres in Coxsbazar, 8 centres in Rangamati , 8 centres in Khagrachari and 4 in Bandarban district. The examination begins with first paper of national language Bangla on first day.
Ten special and 40 vigilance teams were deployed in these centres to hold the exam peacefully.The number of total examinees under Ctg Board is 77,709 including including regular, irregular and private students. Board sources said out of total examinees 38,411 male and 39,298 female students .
