Shahidul Islam alias Shahid Chairman, father in law of Nazrul Islam, panel mayor of Narayanganj City Corporation, whose murder has hit the media headlines , said on Monday that he had fallen on feet of Lt. Col. Sayed Tareq, CO of RAB-11 offering Tk. two crore for saving Nazrul’s life.Col Sayed told him he should have gone to local Member of Parliament Shamim Osman as he had abducted Nazrul, Shahid chairman said in an interview to a vernacular daily on Monday.He alleged that RAB had abducted and killed his son in law. As regards the transaction of Tk. 6 core, he alleged that Tk. 3 crore was transferred to the account of Col Sayed from Nur Hossain’s account through a private bank. He however, did not mention the name of the bank. The remaining amount, he said was transferred from the accounts of Hashmat Ali Hashu, Ward commissioner Shahjalal Badal and Iqbal Hossain, the report said.Narayanganj RAB CO Tareq Sayed, he alleged shared the money with Major Jahangir, Major Rana , Major Arif and former SP of Narayanganj Syed Nurul Islam. He said if these people are interrogated, the sources of money would become clear. Shahid Chairman said three RAB personnel including CO Col Sayed are involved in the abduction and killing of his son in law Nazrul. Not only RAB, close relatives of Nazrul were also involved, he alleged. Among others involved also include younger brother of Nazrul Hashmat Ali Hashu and elder brother Nur Mohammad, Shahid alleged. He said Shahjalal Badal, a nephew of Nur Hossain, local BNP leader Iqbal Hossain, Siddirganj thana Awami League General Secretary Yasin, thana Sechasebak League General Secretary Aminul Huq Raju and Abu Sufian, a close associate of Narayanganj city mayor Dr. Selina Hayat Ivy, were also behind the crime, he said.
