About his journey through ‘Mr Global India,’ Prem Rahman says, “As a child I wanted to be an actor if I was asked about future, but really didn’t thought about is with the time passing through of my life. Then I got my life direction in dancing, and I knew this is what I am made for and put all my efforts and concentration to develop myself. One of the contestants from ‘Mr Global India,’ whom I teach dance in my studio told me about the programme and I thought if I have the opportunity to attain the competition so why should not I give it a try. That is how my journey of ‘Mr Global India’ started. I can say Allah showered his blessings on me.”
About the whole experience in the competition, Prem says, “The whole programme was a great experience for me. I met many new and wonderful people, great exposure, learnt many new techniques of ramp walk and presentation, and learnt how to improve myself from many Hollywood and Bollywood personalities who were my judges. The competition was tough, contestants came from all over US and many had great talents. The competition was based on the ramp walk and skill and intelligence talents. We had to walk in western formal and Indian formal wear. I actually never thought of winning when I entered in the show, I just wanted to use the opportunity. But by grace of god, my family, my friends and my students’ support, my hard work paid off and I won the title for ‘Mr India Global 2015.’ I feel blessed and fortunate that I got an amazing opportunity and now I have a great responsibility to carry this title.”
Famous fashion photographer from USA, owner of Studio Dew Drop, who is also a Bangladeshi, Parag Shaf told this correspondent, “I have seen Prem’s telent in dance from a long time and always appreciated his personality and presence as a model, so it’s not a wonder for me to see him winning the competition. I am sure he now has a bright future in dancing, modelling and acting also and he even got the responsibility to enlighten the name of Bangladesh.”
Regarding his future plans, Prem says, “My aim in life will always be to contribute as a dancer and to excel in my dance academy but most importantly to be a good human being to contribute in the society in the help and need of others. My next step is to work harder, excel in my career and work towards different opportunities such as acting. I think my best advantage is my dance, and I really want to bring a change in the media industry of Bangladesh as a choreographer and dancer, because I think still there is a space for improvement in that sector. It is a great feeling to be a Bangladeshi and representing my country from here in US but I would love to represent myself from Bangladesh if I get any opportunity.”
