A housewife was tortured to death by her husband at Narsingdi town area on Sunday night.
The victim was identified as Shamima Jahan, a programme organiser of BRAC (Micro Credit Programme), Narsingdi, mother of one son, wife of Jasim uddin uddin. a NGO Officer.
Samima’s mother Salina Begum said that her son -in- law Jasim killed her daughter Shamima. She said she received a mobile phone call from her daughter at 6-30 pm. In the phone, Shamima informed her that Jasmin tortured and killed her. Hearing the news Salina Begum came from Kaliganj to her daughter’s rented house at Brahmonda Bolur-char in Narsingdi town and found her daughter Samima’s death body at 8:30 pm.
Salina Begum, mother of Shamima Jahan claimed that Jasim Uddin, husband of Samima tortured to death her daughter. Police arrested Jasim Uddin , husband of Shamima Jahan A case was filed with Narsingdi Sadar thena police.
