Housewife hacked to death in Bagerhat

Minara Begum (45), wife of one Parveez Shikdar (50) of village Madhabkathi within Dhopakhali Union under Kachua Upazila in Bagerhat district was hacked to death by husband recently.
Police said , Minara Begum and Parvez Shikdar were married long 25 year ago. By this time they became the parents of 2 daughters. But the husband had been good for nothing since their marriage. As a result, very often they were involved in quarrel. Finding no other alternative Minara Begum adopted the profession of exorcism to maintain the family. In spite of that they used to be involved in family quarrels off and on. At the night of occurrence such a quarrel took place between the two and when it reached its climax the husband became furious and hacked the wife to death. After the incident the husband tried to commit suicide by taking poison.
Being informed of the matter a police squad of Kachua PS rushed to the spot and recovered the dead body. It was later sent to Bagerhat Sadar Hospital for autopsy . Police arrested the alleged killer husband. In this connection a case was registered with the PS.
