Experts at a seminar: Hospitals need Homeopathy to reduce treatment costs

Stressing on conducting research and training on homeopathy in the country, health experts at a seminar said, research can flourish the development of the low cost and alternative system of treatment.
There are a lot of medicines in homeopathy, but benefits cannot be derived because of absence of
research and training, as it hampers proper treatment.
They suggested for establishing hospitals in all the 70 homeopathy medical colleges in the country as treatment cost is within reach.
Bangladesh Centre for Advanced Studies in Homeopathy (BCASH) organized the seminar titled ‘Homeopathy for Digestive Disorder’ at its Farmgate Office in the capital on Friday.
Dr. Sheikh Mohammad Iftekhar Uddin, Member of Bangladesh Homeopathic Board, attended as the chief guest with Dr. M A Quader, Chairman of (BCASH), in the chair.
Prof. Dr. Sushanta Kumar Roy, Ex Vice-Principal of Edward College, Pabna, Dr. Mohammad Fazlul Karim, Vice-Chairman of BCASH, Dr. Kajal Kanti Dutta, Finance Secretary of BCASH, Dr. Mohammad Kazi Jahangir, Assistant Professor of Federal Homeopathy Medical College & Hospital, Dhaka, spoke at the function.
The programme was organised marking the 263rd birth anniversary of Samuel Hahnemann, a German physician known as the Father of Homeopathy.
Though recognized by World Health Organization (WHO), step has not yet been taken for flourishing homeopathy, experts said.
The experts have regretted absence of research and higher education on homeopathy.
Academic Post-Graduate course on Homeopathy is not available in the country, which is one of the reasons for absence of research, they said.
