In observance of the birth anniversary of the inventor of Homeo medicine Dr. Samuel Haneyman , Homeopathy Day was observed on Monday at Hotel Paramount International hall arranged by the Bangladesh Homeopathy Parishad(BAHOP), Chittagong district unit with its President Dr Debabratha Bhattachariya in the chair.
Secretary General of the World Homeopathy Research & Publication Parishad Dr. Bijoy Banu Dutta inaugurated the Homeopathy Day programmes as guest of honour. President of Bangladesh Homeopathic Parishad , central committee and Chairman of Chittagong Education Foundation Principal Dr. Abdul Karim was the Chief Guest on the occasion.
Former General Secretary of BAHOP , central committee Dr. CS Das attended the programme as distinguished guest.
Divisional govt representative of Bangladesh Homeopathy Board Dr. Saleh Ahmed Suleman was the key speaker in it. Central secretary general of BAHOP Dr. Anjan Kumar Das conducted the main event of the Homeopathy Day as chief discussant.
Acting Principal of Chittagong Homeopathic Medical College & Hospital Dr. Md.Towhidul Islam, Principal of Dr Zakir Hossain Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital Dr Nurul Amin , Acting Principal of Azizur Rahman Homeopthic Medical College & Hospital Dr. Ferdousi Begum, District President of BHMA Dr Md Samiuddin, City Unit President of BAHOP Prof Dr Mridul Kanti Dey, BAHOP district advisor Prof.Chayan Krishna Das were present as special guests. District Secretary of BAHOP Alhaj Dr SM Saleh Jahangir delivered address of welcome in the anniversary function. Lecturer dr. Md. Enamul Hoque Enam moderated the function .
The speakers in the day celebration programs demanded to open a Homeopathy Faculty under Chittagong University and establishment of one Homeo Degree college in Chittagong under CU . They also demanded appointment of DHMS passed Homeo Physicians as Medical Officers in all health complexes across the country . The speakers also opined to engage Homeo physicians in each city ward to help facilitate the medicare services to the distressed and hapless city dwellers.
The meeting also demanded hundred percent subsidy for salary of the teachers, officers, employees of the Homeo colleges from the govt treasury .
The chief guest in his brief deliberations urged upon the concerned authorities to allocate separate sufficient fund for the Homeopathy sector in the coming national budget aimed at ensuring the healthcare services for all .
Besides, noted physicians of the city as well as the country including one international homeo scholar addressed the birth anniversary of Dr Samuel Hanemann and Homeopathy Day, a BAHOP sources said
